Director, Virginia Center for Healthy Small Business
Virginia-wide non-profit organization seeks full-time Director of the new Virginia Center for Healthy Small Business (Center). The Center will support the Virginia Healthy Small Business Initiative that began in 2009 as a result of the State Health Access Program (SHAP) Grant program. SHAP is administered by the Virginia Department of Health. The Director will be responsible for developing the Center as a sustainable public/private partnership providing outreach, education, customer support, research, and multi-sector partnerships for expanding small employer health investment throughout Virginia. During the initial development phase, the Center will focus on serving small businesses with 50 employees or less. The Center office is located in Richmond, Virginia, however, the position will involve some travel throughout the Commonwealth.
The Center is seeking candidates with five or more years of work experience and a combination of the following skills: project management and administration; education programming and basic research; intermediate level of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Web support; knowledge of business health and wellness programming; knowledge of small business health coverage; and communications and marketing. The Director will report to the CEO of the Virginia Business Coalition on Health (the Contractor). The position is grant funded for 12-18 months.
