National Priorities and Goals

December 2008.... public release of a report entitled, Aligning Our Efforts to Transform America's Healthcare:  National Priorities and Goals. The report is a product of the National Priorities Partnership (NPP), a multi-stakeholder leadership group, convened by the National Quality Forum (NQF), and representing 28 of the top health care organizations in the country.  The National Business Coalition on Health, VBCH's national trade association, is represented on the NPP by Peter Lee, Executive Director for National Health Policy, with the Pacific Business Group on Health (PBGH).  The Executive Summary and entire Report (67 pages) is found at www.nationalprioritiespartnership.org

The Report is an important complement to the IOM's two groundbreaking reports on health care:  To Err is Human and Crossing the Quality Chasm. The National Priorities and Goals report takes the next leap forward and I urge all VBCH members and colleagues to read this report.
