HeartBiz

HeartBiz is an online Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Risk Identification Tool designed by the Stanford Heart Network (SHN) of Stanford University to determine one’s risk for a heart attack or stroke in the next five to ten years. The American Heart Association reports that CVD ranks as America’s number one killer and that 61.8 million Americans have some form of CVD. Risk Factors include (1) Smoking, (2) High Cholesterol, (3) High Blood Pressure/Stress, (4) Physical Inactivity (5) Obesity/Overweight, and (6) Diabetes. The site provides strategies for risk management and reduction, as well as skills for behavior modification and lifestyle changes. VBCH has teamed up with SHN to bring this tool to our members.
